How To Turn Your GTA4 into GTA5 with mods (2025)

GTA 4 is a classic game, but what if we could make it feel more like GTA 5? With the right mods, we can improve visuals, gameplay, and mechanics to make Liberty City more similar to Los Santos. In this post, I’ll explain how I overhauled GTA 4 with some amazing mods.

Bringing Los Santos to Liberty City:
One of the biggest changes I made was add the full GTA 5 map into GTA 4. Now, instead of just exploring Liberty City, I can drive around the streets of Los Santos, travel through Vinewood, and even make a trip to the famous beaches. This totally changes the feel of the game, having the freedom to play GTA 5’s world on GTA 4’s engine.

Adding GTA 5 Features to GTA 4:
Another major improvement is the character switch feature, allowing me to switch between different protagonists seamlessly, just like in GTA 5. It makes missions and free-roam gameplay much more dynamic.

I also added GTA 5 character animations, which make running, walking, and combat feel smoother and more polished. Combined with the first-person mod, the gameplay becomes even more immersive.

Upgrading Vehicles and Driving Mechanics:
Driving in GTA 5 has never been the same as GTA 4, but since the introduction of the GTA 5 handling mod, cars now handle smoother and high-speed chases and drifting are so much fun. The center car camera mod also enhances driving since it provides a better third-person view.

Enhancing Visuals and Immersion:
